Welcome to the Blog with a Focus on Students First

A young mind is under construction in my house and her education is a top priority although not all of the focus is on "school" topics. However, I firmly believe that going to school and learning is her "job".  This is where she goes each day not because I need childcare, but because school is the best place for her to learn "school" subjects. For some students the best place to learn "school" subjects is in a home-school environment. Many students also thrive in a variety private school environments.

Educational institutions include public schools, home/private school combinations, private religious based schools, and a variety of other private schools. These institutions have a few things in common: students, teachers, parents, and educational "standards" to be taught and assessed. In many other ways these institutions can be quite different.

It is commonly agreed among educators and many others that the teacher is the most important factor in a child's education. Although I rank parents as an equally important factor, unless you are your child's only teacher you probably also place high value on your child's teacher. Being a good teacher is not an easy task and requires many resources along with the education and training received. To that end this blog is designed as a resource for all teachers, parents, and students.
